Shelton Washington
Shelton is located in south Mason County on an inlet of southwest Puget Sound called Hammersly Inlet. First established as a timber town, Shelton's local industry is still centered around lumber and forestry products, with the addition of Christmas trees and succulent shellfish harvesting. In fact, Mason County is one of the nation's largest Christmas-tree producing areas - over 2 million trees are shipped worldwide annually. While in Mason County you can enjoy a number of different activities including hiking, biking, camping, climbing, boating, golfing, hunting, fishing, or scuba diving. With 961 square miles of land (275 of which are in national park or forest), and 900 miles of shoreline, Mason County represents an outdoor playground for nearly every imaginable activity. Commute Times: Shelton is the county seat of Mason County, and the only incorporated city in the county. Highway 101 runs just west of the city. back to WashingtonRealEstateResource.com Home Page - Search All Listings - About Richard TimberLakesRealEstate.com - LakeLimerickRealEstate.com - AlderbrookRealEstate.com real estate Rental Property Management |
